Oof ngl I cheered when it was the "stuck in the elevator" scene and Nikaido holding Minato like that was muah. The bath scene as well like damn Masa san looked gorgeous. I know Nikaido is bitter but it was heartbreaking to see hin cry he cares deeply for his uncle, his father figure. He doesn't have time to waste; he wants to defeat Shu and Minato and show that the Kyudo form his uncle taught him is superior; that he doesn't need to change it or be trained by Sayonji Sensei. The way Nikaido looked away when he and Minato made eye contact was cute. And lol my man was immediately rejected after he confessed. Hope we get to see them together or something after they graduate.

nikaidou bitterness comes from him having a father that he considers "useless". Otherwise said, his bitterness comes from the decision of his mother to get impregnated by someone "useless".

Heartbreaking? Not really. I know that's the way the scene was designed to be. But it just showed a broken overcompensating kid desperately trying to hold on to someone who isn't his father and thinking the world revolves around them.

who hurt you? Nikaido has probably the most realistic goal. Show to everyone his uncle's form is no less better than Saionji style. Everyone else is just shooting for fun. Its like rooting for a team who doesnt care if they win or lose vs its my last chance. His uncle looks like he could kick the bucket anytime now. Nikaido started at the bottom now he at the top.
